Learn Safe

The SBS Group is pleased to announce its selection by MDI, and integrated security technology solutions and program company, to provide a behavior management curriculum as a prevention component of the Learn Safe™ Initiative (www.learnsafe.org). Learn Safe™ is the most comprehensive school security program available, incorporating partnerships from leaders in the security industry such as MDI, Assa Abloy, and Nortel. 

The SBS Group has created the TEACh Safety™ curriculum (Teacher Education to Achieve Child Safety) as the prevention component of the comprehensive Learn Safe Initiative.  The TEACh Safety™ curriculum offers direct staff training at two levels: the goal of the basic training is to provide teachers with direct training in classroom management,de-escalation, stress management, and other critical issues related to initiating and sustaining effective, supportive teacher-student interaction. 

The goal of the advanced training is to guide assessment staff, administrators, and campus-teams through behavior management issues in a Response to Intervention model, including understanding research-based interventions, multi-tiered models, universal screening, and data based decision making.  Also included in the advanced training are how to identify and implement effective conflict resolution programs, no-bullying programs, and threat assessment procedures.
